T040 CONSTRAINING STOCHASTIC MODELS OF LARGE-SCALE FRACTURES TO HYDRODYNAMIC DATA Introduction 1 The key to effective management of fractured reservoirs lies in a thorough understanding of the geometry and conductive properties of the fracture network. In general the only direct observations on the fractures of a subsurface reservoir come from drillings. These data extremely local and moreover incomplete (they do not give the extension of the fractures intersected by the wells) are not enough to characterize the fracture network.
