Abstract

Preserved amplitude prestack depth migration (ray+Kirchhoff) gives a quantitative estimation of the reflection coefficient as a function of offset or angle of incidence. Associated with a robust AVA inversion, we are able to provide reliable information in the depth domain for subsequent reservoir characterization.
