Abstract

Introduction Authors present the possibilities of applying seismic and well data for estimating reservoir parameters in Rotliegend Sandstone in the southwest part of the Polish Lowlands in the area situated to the NE of Poznan city. There are compared several methods of time to depth conversions and schemes for constructing models of distribution of reservoir parameters such as porosity and permeability. Area of the study is chosen based on the previous publications which pinpoint this area as a perspective for gas accumulations both conventional and unconventional – tight gas. Data gathered for purpose of this study included 33 seismic lines acquired between 2007 and 2008. Authors also collected the archival data of this area of more than 40 other seismic lines. Also there have been used 45 wells with well core data analysis and wire line logs. This study tend to compare and pinpoint the best type of conversion of time to depth in this kind of geological setting for the purpose of modelling of reservoir parameters.
