Abstract
In 2011–2013, integrated reservoir study was conducted to plan the next steps preparing Jirak for Waterflood Project. Subsurface data include geology, reservoir, and production was preliminary studied to get better understanding of reservoir distribution and reservoir continuity. No 3D seismic available for this field, therefore we use interpretation from neighbor field’s seismic to enhance the faults and compartments. Re-correlation was done by changing litho-correlation to sequence stratigraphy correlations. Production analysis gave a better connectivity pictures considering the typical production performance for each reservoir. Pilot project was designed in 2012 and implemented in February 2013 for 5 injectors and 8 producers hitting Intermediate TalangAkar sandstone. During the time of Pilot Project, many efforts were taken to keep this project run smoothly and it shows good results: after 2–3 months injection, it can squeeze out the oil around 250–300 bopd form previous condition only 50–70 bopd. Forecast peak oil production from pilot waterflood can get 550–600 bopd.
