Seismic Wavelet Estimation and Uncertainty Quantification Using a Parametric Model

Estimation of seismic wavelets from seismic amplitude data and reflection coefficient series is a difficult problem with numerous solutions. Here, the wavelet is represented by a parametric form, and parameters are estimated by Bayesian inversion. Parametrising gives increased parsimony and interpretability, but reduces flexibility compared with more generic estimation approaches.
