Abstract
Offshore Mozambique has gained industry focus due to major gas discoveries in Northern Rovuma basin. A 15,000-km2 broadband multimeasurement towed-streamer seismic survey was acquired offshore Mozambique to support exploration activity in the Angoche basin. This paper reviews the acquisition configuration and processing workflow used to deliver a high-quality interpretation-ready seismic volume which was produced onboard within four weeks of last shot point. All processing was performed onboard the vessel. Multimeasurement acquisition technique, 3D deghosting and extended onboard processing workflow ensured a high quality product. This accelerated exploration cube demonstrates good temporal and spatial resolution for detailed broadband interpretation work at multiple levels. This volume provides the basis for confident interpretation and exploration decisions.
