Abstract
The work is devoted to the problem of fractured carbonate reservoir modeling and especially representation of fracture impact on storage and flow capacity. Carbonate reservoirs are highly subjected to secondary processes and as a result characterized by different types of porosities that are in general gathered in two fracture and matrix porosity mediums. Each of the mediums has their individual influence on fluid flow through the reservoir and these influences are needed to be evaluated in order to define a type of fractured carbonate reservoir. For this evaluation and description of fractures and fractured reservoirs different sources of information came from different measurement tools and methods are existed. Those methods are used in combination to complete and gather all information that will give representation of reservoir. After reservoir description and determination of its type the reservoir should be modeled in order to forecast its behavior. Different approaches of fractured carbonate reservoir representation in the model are analyzed. The analysis is provided in terms of their applicability according the complexity of the void space and the methodology for that purpose is arranged. The methodology then is used for creation of static and dynamic model of the real field.
