Abstract
It is well known that combining multiple geophysical data types in rock physics-driven multi-physics workflows can improve the robustness of reservoir property estimations. For example, the integration of prestack seismic inversion attributes with controlled source electromagnetic (CSEM) data has been shown to dramatically improve the certainty with which commercial hydrocarbon saturations can be distinguished from reservoirs containing only residual saturation, a problem that is hard to address with seismic methods alone. However there are many approaches to multi-physics analysis. The choice of approach depends on the data available and the geophysical objective of the analysis. Here we present a staged workflow for quantitative characterisation of reservoir properties using seismic and CSEM derived attributes.
