Abstract

Last year's exploration in the UK Continental shelf was a more successful year than 1995 and reversed a decline observed since 1993. This is one of the major conclusions of the annual UK North Sea Exploration and Production review by Edinburgh-based analyst Wood Mackenzie. The report warns that reserve replacement ratios remain heavily deficient underlining the mature status of the UKCS.
