Abstract

Landmark Graphics looks to have moved to address the data management area of its E&P software portfolio with an agreement with IBM and confirmation of a major new product. The company says it has expanded its business relationship with IBM to include a value-added reseller (VAR) agreement for PetroBank Master Data Store. The idea is that Landmark clients can have an integrated E&P information solution from desktop applications through archived data management. In an equally enthusiastic response Chip Nemesi, general manager of IBM's process and Petroleum Industry Solutions said: 'Customers tell us every day that their exploration and production data issues are the challenge of accessing, sharing and analysing data in a timely fashion. The linkage of Landmark's information management solutions with IBM's PetroBank Master Data Store provides the broadest available level of exploration and production data management.
