Abstract

Recent advances in fibre optic sensing technology have provided the oilfield service industry with a new tool for reservoir monitoring in deep water. Steve Maas of Petroleum Geo-Services (PGS) describes the development and testing of a prototype permanent seabed cable system now due to be commercialized.
