Abstract

Lykke Gemmer, Olav Hansen, Martin Iding, Simon Leary and Philip Ringrose discuss the geomechanical modelling of the rock mechanical response to CO2 injection at the Krechba gas field in Algeria arguing that key factors to understanding are the sensitivity of the model to the initial stress field and the rock-mechanical properties of the fault/fracture zones.
