Abstract

D.M. Hammond and S.S. Payne present an application of the new Xu-Payne model, which classifies carbonate rocks as dual porosity systems, to investigate the fluid effects within the chalk play of the Central Graben for quantitative seismic interpretation. The model was calibrated using log data from three wells on the western platform of the UK North Sea.
