Abstract

The complete data set of Newmont's two EMP surveys over the Elura deposit are presented. The transmitter loop positions were set to excite eddy currents in the vertical and horizontal planes of the deposit. The fact that transmitter-deposit coupling effects the response in a predictable way and that the anomalous response can be observed at 45 ms, well beyond halfspace effects, is clear evidence of primary ore detection.
