Abstract
Abstract
A process is described whereby the interpretation of seismic reflection data is carried out by a preliminary two‐dimensional plotting procedure followed by a three‐dimensional migration. The concept of a surface of maximum convexity is introduced as an integral part of the process of migration. The procedures for deriving the necessary charts of curves are considered and a number of serviceable charts presented.
