Abstract

ABSTRACT

The use of MKS system units in preference to the cgs system facilitates accurate numerical calculation in magnetostatic problems in geophysics and the practice of the precise dimensions of every unit guards against confusion. Suggestions are made for the unique definition of quantities such as magnetic potential, etc. for which the undesirable circumstance of arbitrary alternatives still persists.
