Abstract

It is a challenging problem for earth scientists to locate and delineate ore-bearing zones by interpretation of remotely-sensed Landsat data. Successes have been few and far between. Before one attempts to interpret these data over a virgin area for mineral exploration, it is worth examining the anomaly pattems over known orebearing horizons. Such an exercise provides us with a better understanding and control to proceed from the known to the unknown areas.
