Abstract
Geophysical exploration is unthinkable without computers. In the petroleum exploration industry large, expensive systems are de rigueur. In the mineral exploration industry, mining companies as well as geophysical contractors find the class of 'personal computers' quite useful. The market offers a wide range of suitable types.
