Abstract

Interpretation of the vast body of aeromagnetic survey data which now exists (and which continues to grow al a rate of same 2500 000 line-km per year worldwide) is a complex discipline, particularly where attempts are made to integrale and reconcile the interpretation of a magnetic anomaly map with other sources of map data such as gravity surveys, gamma-ray spectrometer surveys. satellite imagery. photageology. geochemical surveys and outcrop information (Reeves 1985. Paterson and Reeves 1985).
