Abstract

When carrying out Vibroseis surveys in noisy areas, where output is restricted by risk of damage to the roadway, adjacent services or buildings, it is possible to improve signal-to-noise ratio very substantialIy, or to reduce cost, by employing heavy vibrators and restricting their output only at lower and middle frequencies.
