Abstract

Reservoir descriptions of deep Permian gas fields in the onshore North-west German Basin have concentrated in the past on well-data correlation to derive geological reservoir models, The contribution of seismic data was focused on structural mapping of faults and seismic markers near the reservoirs, a difficult task in many cases due to structural complexity, strong velocity variations and salt domes.
