Abstract

As an opening speaker at the 1990 EAEG and EAPG conference in Copenhagen, I shall take this opportunity of addressing the subject of petroleum geoscience from a Danish viewpoint. The evolution of petroleum geoscience from its foundations in geology and geophysics, and the need to integrate at a very early stage the data traditionally acquired and interpreted in these major disciplines will be discussed.
