Abstract

This article describes the application of seismic reflection profiling and combined transient electromagnetic sounding (TEM) and vertical electrical sounding (VES) at a test location in The Netherlands. The objective was to test the suitability of these techniques for hydrogeological mapping down to about 300 m depth, i.e. to assess what information characterizing the aquifer could be obtained byeach of the two techniques.
