Abstract

The 3D activity of Caltex Pacific Indonesia (CPI) is aimed at developing existing production fields on land in the jungle/swarnpy environment of Central Sumatra, Indonesia (Fig. I). Because of the difficult access conditions, CPI seismic crews are fully portable and dynamite is the only source used. Receivers can either be geophones or hydrophones depending on near-surface conditions.
