Abstract
The Hom Graben is a N-S striking graben structure cutting the E-W striking system of the North Sea High, It is located in the Danish and German North Sea between the Danish mainland and the Central Graben (Fig. 1). The Hom Graben as generally defined is of late Permian to Triassic age (Best et al. 1983; Olsen 1983; Vejbrek 1990; Clausen and Korstgard 1993). However, seismic sections indicate that the Triassic Hom Graben overprints earlier faults controlling the Late Permian subsidence in the area.
