Abstract

Today's modern acquisition equipment is designed and manufactured to the highest tolerances. The reliability and durability has been radically improved over the previous generation of equipment due to new production techniques and the ingress of digital techniques into traditional analogue areas. The new systems still need to be monitored for compliance to specifications and are only as good as their last set of test results.
