Abstract

The electrical profiling method has been used widely for decades and has proved to be a powerful technique for mapping near-surface geology. Applications have been manifold: prospecting for raw materials, hydrogeological investigations, road and pip eline construction, etc. During recent years the method has gained a central position in Denmark for the detailed, regional mapping of protective clay caps of aquifers (Christensen and Serensen 1994).
