Research article: lateral resolution of 2D seismic illustrated by a real data example

I recently supervised a project to acquire seismic reflection profiles over abandoned gypsum mineworkings at a depth of 60 m in Yorkshire, England (Kourkafas & Goulty 1996). The origin~ intention was to locate the edges of the worked area by observing a change in the reflection response between workedand solid ground.
