Abstract

Abstract

The Nile Delta has become a prolific hydrocarbon province, especially for gas. After initial discoveries onshore, the focus has switched to the offshore marine environment. Pre-stack seismic techniques have proven to be highly effective in characterizing the gas-sandstone reservoirs. We apply pre-stack inversion followed by a probabilistic neural network approach in order to generate estimates of saturation and porosity for the Simian Field.
