Signs of a mature province show in analyst's UKCS annual review
Last year's exploration in the UK Continental shelf was a more successful year than 1995 and reversed a decline observed since 1993. This is one of the major conclusions of the annual UK North Sea Exploration and Production review by Edinburgh-based analyst Wood Mackenzie. The report warns that reserve replacement ratios remain heavily deficient underlining the mature status of the UKCS.

Research article: lateral resolution of 2D seismic illustrated by a real data example
Authors N.R. GoultyI recently supervised a project to acquire seismic reflection profiles over abandoned gypsum mineworkings at a depth of 60 m in Yorkshire, England (Kourkafas & Goulty 1996). The origin~ intention was to locate the edges of the worked area by observing a change in the reflection response between workedand solid ground.
