On the use of pocket computers in geophysical exploration for minerals and groundwater
By A. KetelaarGeophysical exploration is unthinkable without computers. In the petroleum exploration industry large, expensive systems are de rigueur. In the mineral exploration industry, mining companies as well as geophysical contractors find the class of 'personal computers' quite useful. The market offers a wide range of suitable types.

A microcomputer for the multiphase wavelet generation
By G.P. LillardIn seismic interpretation, synthetic seismograms and mode Is are used extensively to help the interpreter to relate the subsurface geology to seismic data. They are valuable tools in exploration. With these tools, the proper selection of a wavelet is essential to the synthetic or model's effectiveness. Frequency bandwidth and phase shift angle are critical parameters necessary for describing a wavelet which wiII match seismic data.
