Geological concepts and seismic interpretation - examples from the EAEG Seismic Atlas
Authors M.K. Jenyon and W. GoudswaardLast year the EAEG published the Seismic Atlas of Structural and Stratigraphic Features (Goudswaard and Jenyon 1988), which is intended as a training aid for the inexperienced seismic interpreter. The examples of which the atlas is comprised have been made available by various oil companies and geophysical service companies operating in Europe.

AC resistivity sounding
More LessElectrical and electromagnetic geophysical methods have been among the most imporant ones for investigating the uppermost 100 metres of the solid earth. For decades traditional resistivity methods using direct current (DC) have been in widespread use in Denmark as in most other parts of the world. Resistivity profiles and soundings have been used for gathering geological information in general, in prospecting for raw materiaIs, for hydrogeological surveys, and to solve foundation problems in engineering.
