Abstract
H009 Geophysical characterization of sub-seafloor strata of Modgunn arch from SBL data A.H. BHUIYAN 1 T. A. WICKLUND 2 S.E. JOHANSEN 2 Summary 1 Marine controlled source electromagnetic (CSEM) sounding here termed Sea Bed Logging (SBL) has recently been used for detection of deeply buried hydrocarbons (HC). The method has been verified on known hydrocarbon fields offshore Angola and Norway. Here we present SBL data across the Modgunn arch in the Norwegian Sea. A horizontal electric dipole (HED) source induced up to 250% gain in electric magnitudes over Modgunn arch. The increased return signal of electromagnetic (EM) energy is due
