Abstract

P031 A Seismic Data Qualification Process for Reservoir Characterisation Abstract 1 Beautiful seismic images are often displayed from good quality 3D seismic data sets. Their geological meaning is generally acknowledged by comparison with present analogues or existing sedimentological models. The question arises immediately: how far can we go in the interpretation of these data in terms of litho-facies and petrophysical properties? This is particularly true in the framework of hydrocarbon field delineation and development studies. Various approaches are used depending on the geological context and the seismic quality. In some instances the interpretation remains qualitative by defining more prospective zones
