Universitat de Barcelona Spain The appraisal and development of hydrocarbon reserves are often optimized by means of models. Fluid flow simulations are used to predict the reservoir performance. Flow simulations are usually based on previous models of reservoir architecture by means of facies models. In clastic reservoirs petrophysical properties such as porosity and permeability are correlated with
