Abstract

P184 Borehole Data as a Guide to Velocity Interpretation – A Case Study Summary 1 Inconsistent Velocity interpretation across project block boundaries can lead to misties between 3D seismic processing blocks therefore a geophysical technique to ensure consistent velocity analysis was required. A simple method was developed to bring consistency to the velocity interpretation process and improve the focusing and imaging qualities of the resulting velocity field. We present a case study where this method was applied to data from the Eastern Province Saudi Arabia. The study consisting of adjusting the velocity information measured from regional borehole data (check shots
