Abstract
P313 A wavelet based attribute for detection of stratigraphic and structural frameworks Abstract 1 A new seismic attribute called SPICE (Spectral Imaging of Correlative Events) has recently been presented to the geophysical community. This attribute is a single channel computation and is based on the wavelet transform and singularity analysis. A vertical cross section of SPICE displays a layered bed-form framework that is rich in structural and stratigraphic detail. A horizontal slice from a 3-D SPICE volume resembles a coherence slice. SPICE is not area-specific and produces good results regardless of geographic location. The original SPICE algorithm was very sensitive
