Abstract

B017 A NEW SYSTEM FOR HIGH SPEED SPATIAL MAPPING OF SOIL – THE ARP© SYSTEM Abstract 1 The spatial knowledge of soil distribution is a prerequisite for new management strategies in Agriculture (Precision Agriculture: PA): the idea is to optimize the different agricultural processes (density of seeds fertilizers pesticides etc.) to the different soil zones defined as Homogeneous Zones (HZ). The spatial resolution should be of the order of 6m in both directions. For economical reasons this density cannot be obtained with traditional measurements like auger borings. Satellite- or air-based techniques suffer from the lack of penetration of the electromagnetic
