Abstract
P030 SEISMO-ELECTRIC WAVES – ENHANCEMENT OF CONVERTED SIGNALS AND POLARIZATION Summary 1 Seismo-electric field measurements are expected to help to localize permeable layers and provide information about anelastic properties such as hydraulic permeability and porosity from which inter alia ground water exploration would benefit. We investigated whether frequency-wavenumber filtering is an adequate means to enhance so-called converted seismo-electric waves which are usually weak compared to stronger but less informative seismo-electric signals carried along with seismic waves. We examined how the polarization of seismo-electric wave-types differ and whether the observed arrivals and their polarization agree with theoretical predictions. We show that
