A06 A METHOD FOR IMPROVING VIBROSEIS PRODUCTIVITY WHILE PRESERVING DATA QUALITY Abstract This presentation describes the outcome of a research program conducted on vibroseis harmonic noise reduction. It details the results of the acquisition and processing of a 3D test recorded in Egypt. Introduction 1 Eight years after its introduction by Petroleum Development Oman in 1996 the slip sweep method which “consists of a vibrator group sweeping without waiting for the previous group’s sweep to terminate” is still hardly used outside Oman.
