A31 FRACTURE CHARACTERIZATION IN AN ALGERIAN GAS RESERVOIR USING SEISMIC AZIMUTHAL ANISOTROPY Summary 1 Seismic methods in a broad meaning (i.e. surface sismics and well seismics) are very useful for extending the description of the fracturation beyond the close vicinity of the wells and for obtaining a description of fractures at a large scale. In this study P-wave azimuthal velocity analyses of 3D prestack seismic data have been tested in a fractured gas field in Algeria.
