Abstract

B12 WAVE EQUATION DEPTH MIGRATION IN NORTH AFRICA DEEP WATERS Summary 1 This paper focuses on recent advances in wave equation migration algorithms and their implications for deep water seismic exploration offshore Egypt. The analysis of 2D Kirchhoff pre-stack depth migrated (PSDM) data reveals complex structures that are likely to benefit from wave equation migration.
