B13 THE IN SALAH CO2 STORAGE PROJECT – FUTURE CHALLENGES Technical Theme: 11 - Environment and HSE Management 06 - North African case studies Abstract The multi-field In Salah Gas(ISG) project started production on schedule mid-2004. As part of the development ISG also implemented a large scale CO2 capture and storage project with the produced gas stream being stripped of its CO2 content before export and the stripped CO2 stream injected into 3 horizontal injection wells. Placement of the CO2 is into the aquifer leg of the Krechba field where ~50 mmscf/d of CO2 is being re-injected daily. 1 F.A.
