Microtectonic evaluation of the Villeta Formation carbonate cores (Putumayo Basin, Colombia): Its potential as fractured reservoir

The HC productive Putumayo Basin is located in south western Colombia and continues into the Ecuadorian Oriente Basin. Typically, reservoir levels are sandstones of the Caballos Fm (Aptian-Albian) and also the “U and M2 Sandstones” of the Villeta Fm (Late Albian-Santonian).
