Abstract
Integration of stratigraphic, structural, petrologic, seismic, well interpretation and biostratigraphic data
allow for a new interpretation for the Upper Cretaceous sequence of the Upper Magdalena
Valley. Thickness changes among similar depositional environments and between the Neiva
and Girardot Sub-basins (from 130-1300 ft respectively) allow us to constrain Maastrichtian
deformation, previous to Andean deformation.
