Abstract
A recent discovery of gas and condensate in highly fractured reservoirs at the northern culmination of the
Eastern Cordillera foothills of Colombia was the result of an integrated exploratory effort in a frontier sub Andean
basin by Occidental de Colombia, Inc. and its partners, followed by an intensive re-exploratory effort by
Ecopetrol S.A. This discovery consists of east verging highly imbricated fault related folds that involve
Cretaceous and early Tertiary fracture reservoirs.
