C14 THERMAL MODELING ANALYSIS FOR COMPLETION DESIGN OF DEEP OFFSHORE HEAVY OIL RESERVOIRS Abstract 1 This paper examines the theoretical application of wellbore heat losses in the completion design of deep offshore heavy oil reservoirs. As production of heavy and viscous oil moves through the wellbore dynamic transfer of heat occurs between the produced fluids and the surroundings.
