D32 TAMPEN IOR Arild Hesjedal and Stein Rune Jakobsen Statoil 1 ABSTRACT The Tampen area (Fig. 1) in the northern North Sea is a mature oil and gas province. The producing fields are either in the decline phase or on plateau. Hence IOR measures become increasingly more time critical. For this reason Statoil established in 2003 a sub-surface organisation to ensure a medium and long term inter-field and inter-disciplinary IOR approach. Statoil has over the last 15 years achieved good results with IOR. Extensive reserve growth is documented in several fields as for instance the Statfjord Gullfaks and Snorre Fields
