Abstract
P04 COMBINATION OF COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY AND PETROGRAPHY IN RESERVOIR CHARACTERIZATION Abstract 1 Computed tomography (CT) is a non-destructive technique that generates images of slices through a sample and enables the 3D visualization of the internal structure of the object by stacking of slices. The purpose of this study is to develop a process that automatically calculates important reservoir parameters on large sets of plugs (>30) based only on CT images of the scanned samples. The CT images are linked to petrographical information obtained from thin sections and porosity/permeability measurements of the same samples. In this research dolomite and limestone rocks
