The Geological Setting and Explorations in Albanides Region

Albanides region is a hard studied area, from the geological point of view, where the contribution of regional seismic line and new processing ones have been of great importance. The object of this article is to give an analyze of geological setting, tectonic mechanism and hydrocarbon prospect. Based on new geological and seismic data, a new interpretation is accomplished to evaluate the possible carbonate structures for oil exploration and new targets in neogenic structured for gas discoveries... The paper is a brief summary of a regional study, in which many problems about stratigraphy, geodynamic, hydrocarbon potential and the exploration discovering ways are in details treated.
